This sweet and sour sauce is produced in Thailand on the basis of sweet plums with the addition of, among others, sugar, vinegar, ginger. It is characterized by a thick consistency and a light brown color, and has a unique fruity taste and aroma. Mainly used in Chinese cuisine for deep-fried dishes.
